As I unpack our suitcases after time away the memories of squabbling children and frustrating moments fade away and only the little jewels remain. Watching a toddler run along the beach with joyful abandon. Studying sea stars, kelp and jelly fish washed up upon the shore. Uno around the kitchen table. Catching sight of black cockatoos in the tree tops. Sunlight through an old shed roof. And already I am thinking about packing those suitcases again.
